VTG CORNET BRASS & SILVER TUNING SLIDE w WATER VALVE instrument trumpet

For your consideration is a vintage brass instrument part with water valve. I was uncertain what instrument it was from so I posted it on Reddit and the consensus was that it’s a cornet part (or maybe a trumpet). The smaller diameter tubes (to the left in the first photo) are brass while the other parts are (tarnished) silver (or silver plate). The water valve mechanism / spring appears to work as it should. Overall this part appears to be fundamentally sound with no cracks. You are purchasing it as-is and as-pictured. There are no guarantees as to what instrument it was from or what it will fit.
