New York Bach Stradivarius ML Cornet (1945)

Description

Up for sale is a 1945 Vincent Bach Stradivarius ML (.459 bore) cornet made in the Bronx, NY factory. Serial number 63xx. Everything about the instrument is all original with no previous overhaul work and no patch work. Just some lacquer wear from years of use, a couple of very small pings, and two very minor areas of wear on the first and third valves. Along with the mint Mt. Vernon case you will also get a Bach Mt. Vernon 6B mouthpiece and vintage Bach mouthpiece box with spare slide nuts and screws. I do not have the shop card for the instrument but it can be obtained if you contact Conn-Selmer.
Myself, I'm a trombonist and I cleaned the entire instrument inside and out and hand-polished all the slides. All slides move freely and the valves have great action and great compression. My trumpeter wife played the instrument and it sounds wonderful! Very resonant, focused sound with great timbre.
