Conn Pan-American Bb Trumpet SN#158406.
This is a vintage horn that has been professionally cleansed and made playable. This horn has a very nice, warm sound. The Conn Pan-American is a B Flat trumpet made by Pan American, a subsidiary of Conn. Pan American made cornets and trumpets in Elkhart, Indiana from 1917 to 1955; this trumpet has a serial number of 158406, which means it was made in 1947.
The diameter of the bell of this horn is roughly
4.75 inches in diameter.
This horn has been ultra-sonically cleansed, has been well-oiled, and plays perfectly. All slides move smoothly, all three valves respond superbly. Has a very warm, great, quality sound.
This horn plays just as well as my newer ones, but the sound and speed of the air is actually better than with my Jean-Baptiste or my Henri Gautier.
Minor dents along Bell. Dents on 1st, 2nd, and third slides. There is wear and tear that comes with aging but this horn plays as well as any horn I have played.
