ROWE POTTERY WORKS2002 HISTORICAL COLLECTION
POT WITH SPOUT & HANDLE
Up for your consideration is a very collectible piece of ROWE Pottery Works from the 2002 HISTORICAL COLLECTION.
This unique piece is in excellent condition from a private collection and only put on display and never used. It is salt glaze pottery with a traditional cobalt design.
Measures: 3 ¾” tall and 5 ¼” wide including spout. The handle measures 3” long.
Bottom diameter 4 1/4”.
Stamped: “Rowe Pottery Works, Cambridge, WI
2002 Historical Collection”
Maker’s Mark: there appears to be a maker’s mark next to the stamp, an oval with a cross design in the center. Upon some research the potter of the piece might be Dan Derrickson. There also appears to be a decorator’s mark near the handle.
A beautiful collectible piece to add to your pottery collection.
A rare find in this condition!
A bit about ROWE POTTERY
: “In keeping with the character of salt-glazed stoneware, Rowe Pottery pieces are not only decorative, but suitable for baking and serving. They go from oven to table top, and the interior glaze allows for easy clean-up. All of Rowe Pottery's salt-glazed pieces are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe and lead-free.”
“In the early 1980’s, Rowe Pottery changed from it's original style of pottery to making museum quality reproductions of Early American salt glaze crocks and jugs. Traditional cobalt blue decorates salt glaze crocks,
jug and other traditional pottery designs.”* info from web site
